Yes-it should be illegal for a 16 year old to have sex with a 14 year old. Yes-they will still want it and many will have it. But to allow them a constitutional RIGHT to privacy to do it is ridiculous. We need to decide that either children are children or they're not. And if they are children, then allow parents to keep the authority they need to successfully raise them. Stop undermining and gutting their ability to raise their own children. It infuriates me (and I know we've argued this before) that a minor can get an abortion without parental consent or even knowledge. Yes-there are bad parents, and there are situations in which a girl might be better served by the state than her own mother, but stop taking power away from us as a group.
