Clare,

No doubt, Cisco will do just fine. I was under the impression that Granite was also developing a switch product along with their Gigabit Ethernet MAC, similar to the model being followed by Foundry, Extreme and Packet Engines.

It was alleged in an article (LA Times, I think) that the reason for the delay of Gigabit Ethernet and related products was that Cisco was having difficulties integrating the Granite switch and IOS.
