WEAK QUARTER, STRONG YEAR? redherring.com Of the eight high-tech companies featured here, all due to announce earnings this week, only one, Sun Microsystems ( SUNW), is projected to show an improvement in earnings from its previous quarter. In fact, of the remaining seven, four are expected to turn in earnings substantially lower from their previous quarter,while the other three are estimated to just equal the previous quarter's numbers, according to Zack's Investment Survey.
