NucTrader, We may take a while to "kick start" these stocks, but then again maybe these next two weeks will help. If you compare most non disk-drive related tech stocks with oilfield service stocks you see a strikingly different pre-earnings picture.

Tech stocks on the one hand, have rallied into the earnings season. Thus "techies" are vulnerable to selloffs-even on good news. Witness e.g., ASND. Oilfield service stocks, generally have sold off going into earnings season. Thus negative earnings reports, if they occur, are more likely to be met with a "ho hum, we expected that" attitude. But a series of good earnings reports may "jump start" the sector. The whole disk drive sector is a good example ofthat. One of my favorite dd-related stocks INVX, has risen- on bad news...

Let's see if the oilfield service stocks follow the lead of their "dissed" disk drive brethren....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
