Hiya Forest!!!

Hey...it's really good to see you here. I don't think I've ever "spoken" to you before, but I have certainly enjoyed your notes on DGIV and FAMH.

How'd you find us over here? Say...wouldn't it be neat as time goes on if more and more of the DGIV thread finds us too? And the FAMH thread? Uh...well...uh...as much as I like everyone on there (or most everyone), I think we can wait a little bit longer for them to start finding us. <gggg>

Speaking of encryption companies, you might want to take a peek at this thread.......http://www.c2.net/about/

It was given to me by a good friend. It has much information too, and might possibly be a potential competitor of Jawz. I mention it because of your mention of the U.S. laws. The laws aren't doing much of anything to stop the REST of the world from getting hold of the encryption that they want. The company profiled in that website that I've just given you is in England.

And that brings up a good point that I read on this thread somewhere.
I believe that I read that it is not illegal to LICENSE the technology. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

So....assuming for a moment that I'm right....then JAWZ has the potential of making beaucoup bucks just by licensing their products without having to export them. If they license it to a firm that lies outside of the U.S. or Canada, then the export laws won't apply.
At least that's my understanding of the situation.

Now's the time for somebody to correct me if I'm wrong or to validate me if I'm right.

Juanita
