Debunking the false claims of C.K. Houston - first in what will be a very long series: <<It's a known, and publicly acknowledged FACT that GPS will fail August 21,1999. They can't get to the satellites to fix the embedded systems. So ... all of the receivers have to be updated (patched) or replaced. The major airlines/airports will most likely have this taken care of>> This is false. There was some concern that some GPS receiver firmware would fail to account for EOW rollover in 1999, but this turns out to be a non-issue. Cheryl's claim that there are "embedded systems" in the satellites that need to be updated or replaced for this purpose are ludicrous and 100% false.
