I use fundamental analysis (CAPM) to decide whether a stock should be a long target or a short target and then use TA methods to find opportune buying and selling points. This is based on current econometric theory that assumes that in the long-run we are moving towards an equilibrium dictated by economic theory but in the short-run dynamics can be quite complex and not purely random noise.
