Mike:
I hate to jump into the fray but your question concerning whether PFE is overvalued at 60 times earnings......
I feel that any comparision (other than the obvious product end use) between Pfizer and Vivus are "apples and oranges". Pfizer is a professional megacompany. Vivus, in my opinion, is a speculative company that based its fortunes on one primary product and lost the battle, if not the war.

I have to smile as I read the various posts accusing Pfizer of overhyping their product, of understating the side affects, etc. The truth is that Viagra is and will continue to be the first choice of ED patients and their physicians. Is there then a market for Muse? Probably but will the potential profits from the Muse market justify a $40 stock? Who knows. But the Vivus strategy from day one was to corner the majority of the ED market, not to pick over the leftovers from Pfizer. I think that is why the stock is so depressed right now. Vivus had a strategy, a marketplan and they failed.

So the real question becomes - Where do we invest our money today? My choice would be the market leader although you could make a case that an opportunity exists for VVUS is the market has overreacted.

Just a few thoughts that are my uneducated opinion.

Best regards,

Chip
