RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Sapiens
International Corporation N.V. (Nasdaq: SPNSF) announced that a leading
European insurance company has expanded the initial year 2000 contract it
awarded to Sapiens. The contract, valued at over $3 million, involves the
conversion of programs written in exotic languages, such as Telon and PG1.
Sapiens will perform the conversion project both at Sapiens' International
Solutions and Services center and at the customer's site.
Sapiens is in the process of converting all of the company's property and
casualty and life insurance systems. The mapping stage of all of the
organization's IT systems has already been completed and several mission-
critical applications have already been made year 2000-compliant.
Commenting on the agreement, Mr. Moti Weiss, Chief Operating Officer of
Sapiens International, said: "Sapiens has acquired an in-depth understanding
of the customer's needs and business operations, and can provide them with
customized solutions that meet their needs. Due to our successful management
of this large-scale project, we have already received new customer references
in the year 2000 arena."
