Dear Jane and All: Personally, I do not like debating for the sake of debating and try to avoid doing that. I try to use two criteria in deciding whether to join in and discuss issues with non-believers: (1) If the person is truly in search of the truth; and (2) if they say something that is contrary to the Bible and they say it with what may appear to be "authority" so that someone who is reading the post may be fooled into believing that it is Biblical.
