Richard,
The problem with political debates is that we get our information from different sources, each of which is slanted towards our core beliefs. For instance, I am now reading 'Rush Limbaugh is a Big, Fat Idiot and Other Observations' by Al Franken. I find the book quite entertaining and, in many ways, educational. However, if I were a Republican, I would be outraged by the book as it definitely takes a pro-Democrat, anti-Republican slant. I think I'd feel as offended if I read any of Limbaugh's books.
I'm not trying to bait you or denigrate your beliefs. I think it's admirable that you stand behind your party and it's candidate. But let's be honest. Barring major last minute disaster, this race is over. It may be that the Republicans pick up seats in the House and/or Senate, but I don't think so. On the other hand, I don't think there will be a massive shift to the Dems, either. In many ways, the checks and balances system works better if the President and Senate are of different partys. It keeps the ideas from going too wildly one way or the other.
I won't even get into your Marxist claims. I'm sure you can produce literature to back them up. However, I would question the source of those claims. Similarly the indictments. It is possible that Hillary will get indicted, although I personally feel this is very doubtful. I think there is virtually no chance of Bill getting indicted.
What amazes me is that you think that the Republicans have no flaws. I will be the first to admit that neither Clinton is perfect. But I suspect the flaws run just as deep in many Republicans. I think I am perfectly responsible as far as politics are concerned. I just happen to have different core beliefs.
BTW, I was joking about the whole 'Why Read' issue. You mentioned that this reading was great for producing Republican leaders. I'm in no great rush to see more Republican leaders. That certainly doesn't mean I couldn't learn by reading.
