Who do you think is generating all that revenue for Yahoo, AOL, Excite? It's companies like Amazon.com that are paying big $$$$ to advertise. Amazon.com has a completely different strategy than these companies and shouldn't be compared to them. The more profits Yahoo and AOL report, the higher the mkting expenses you'll see on Amazon.com's income statement.
