Re: Summons and Complaint in a Civil Action

IAS Communications, Inc. (OTC BB IASCA) wishes to announce that it has received further information on a complaint in a civil action filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon regarding alleged patent infringement by IAS for the Contrawound Toroidal Helical Antenna (CTHA). The Plaintiff in the IAS Oregon case is also a defendant in a pending civil action in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia brought by West Virginia University (WVU) claiming that the CTHA invention is owned by the WVU.

As a result of the said pending civil action, IAS believes that the CTHA invention belongs to WVU and therefore based on the license agreement between WVU and Integral Concepts and the Sublicense agreement between Integral Concepts and IAS, IAS owns the world wide rights to the CTHA commercial applications. IAS intends to vigorously defend the recently filed Oregon litigation.

One of the chief advantages of the CTHA is that it performs like a large antenna yet is very compact in size. Typically the CTHA is 1/60 the height of equivalent monopole antennas. The CTHA could replace all antennas used today in wireless applications.

President
