INTC will likely beat revised etimate in Q1. More importantly, the forward looking statement will move the price. From my source, Q2 will be flat or sequentially down. Inside Intel, mgmt has hiring freeze and puts a crimp on expenses hunkering down for Q2. Craig will say better demand and pricing environment for 2H98. Q3 will be weak too as Europe is on holiday during summer. If one remember, INTC fell 3 pennies short in 3Q97. Right now, Europe is picking up the Asia slack. By summer, Europe won't be there to compensate for Asia. From my long investment experience in INTC, it usually runs up prior to earning release aniticipating good news then dips afterward. Then as the earnings wanes it picks up again. This time, however, it won't pick up until after summer for Q2 and Q3 outlooks are flat or down compared to 1Q98. It makes a lot of sense to sell today. You can always get back in at lower prices later. My entry price would be $67.
