Outlook is good ... Asia-Pacific was up slightly and recent economic studies forecast a much stronger Asia-Pacific region going into 1999. Also, there is plenty of reason for companies to upgrade to the PII 350 and 400 PCs and the PII laptops. While the initial PII releases showed marginal improvements over standard MMX of about 10%, the newer PIIs are showing much more significant performance gains of 20% to 25%. The low-end PCs are just toys that cannot begin to compare to the performance and capabilities of the newer and better machines.
