Hey Gary, like most of the rest of SI you must not have noticed my 'basket' of 20 growth techs...(some value actually...those aren't doing so hot). Since January 28 inception the portfolio of 20 stocks is up over 46%, largely on the strength of momentum monsters like XCIT and GNET.

The stocks were discussed ad infinitum on the High Growth Techstocks of 1998. I made 20 selections and do periodic updates on the thread called The Roaring Twenty 1998. Some of these stories have turned out to be duds. Mostly the value plays, no surprise in this market. I feel downright cheated by the likes of Teledata (TLDCF). Secondary share offerings by big respectable houses which smell almost of 'pump and dump'...such is the roaring bull.

Threads are at:
Subject 18551
Subject 19061

One to watch for 1998 remains MPACT Immedia IFM on Toronto, fast growing electronic payment systems co. with ties to Nationsbanc and many more. Basically they are a niche provider of automated internet credit card verification systems and yes Virginia there is room for several players in this field. Oh yes, also a recent bundling agreement with Compaq, who has a new commerce server program underway.

Although this company has gone up a lot already, it's way undervalued at least by this week's crazy standards and I wouldn't be surprised if a bank has already built an equity stake in preparation for a takeover bid. If that doesn't happen in the near term, a NASDAQ listing should happen sometime in late 1998.
