Japanese firms are gunning hard for this niche Sony w/ TEAC is coming soon with the HiFD 200MB Zip-embarrasser, and Sanyo/Aiwa/Castlewood are coming out soon with the 2.16 Gigabyte Orb Jaz-destroyer. according to: castlewoodsystems.com "Castlewood products are manufactured by Trans Capital, a Malaysian technology manufacturing company with processes that are ISO 9000 certified. Castlewood products will be distributed and sold around the world through a variety of channels including retail, mail order, commercial distribution, value-added resellers and system integrators and original equipment manufacturers." To all those who say that Castlewood has no manufacturing capability, here is proof to the contrary. Trans Capital is a HUGE manufacturer of drives in Malaysia. They are the real deal. The Japanese evidently mean business. And they WILL steal market share away from Iomega very soon. Plain and simple- Enough to do incredible damage to the IOM bottom line.
