IMO the generalized fears that techs would not make earnings were exaggerated because of CPQ's dire warnings and SEG's usual disaster. INTC had the potential to tank the techs again, but didn't Things there could have looked much worse if A.Grove had not decided to postphone that new multi bil $ plant in Ft. Worth. Look at SPLH, LLTC, and some other stocks where last quarters losses have turned into gains. If CPQ does not make a reasonable showing tomorrow, I am going to give up completely on that company, for having no concern for the shareholders or for the multitude of other companies that depend on on their products and develope the software without which their machines could do nothing but gather dust.
