I often wonder why the pharmas don't just buy the complete biotech industry. With a combined market cap of the industry being lower than the market cap of a single big pharma company that should be pretty easy. But of course we could expect serious upward price movement if the pharma industry would really try to pull that off. I hope that Ligand stays independent. That way Lignad has far more potential for long term share price appreciation. And it does not make that much sense to hold Ligand stock with the hope of a serious short time gain. Andreas
