prescient ? -- Anyone have a dictionary ? I hate it when that happens. When the earnings do NOT decline as much as they are expected to, that is viewed as better than expected. Do you understand that Intel is sitting at a PE of 20, the S & P 500 >24, and a lot of people saying they are doomed. They are still making money, not empty promises like their competitor's are. I think the longs are just happy to be treading water and maybe a little better right now, no one is saying this is the greatest thing to ever happen but its better than it could have been and maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Let's hope its not a train coming this way<g>. jim
