Mohan, Yes, I know about that wonderful mild Niligris coffee. Great with a masala dosa! But for every coffee house I saw in India [and I can only really think of one, the sprawling India Coffee House, right in the middle of Connaught Place, New Delhi...what a delight those cold coffees were in April!] I must have seen about 10,000 chai houses. Not to mention the train chai wallahs with their wonderful terracotta cups. It might be 2AM when the train pulls into some tiny station in the middle of nowhere, and the only sound you will hear is "Chai, Chaaiiee". I'm so glad I've finally found a chai wallah on the Net! SC
