As you can see buying pressure on the MM's was pretty strong again today. Mr. Alton to answer your question, these market makers could have as much as 10 million dollars each on any trading deck. Exposure is high to just sit there and short a deal like DCI but, they are naked from the time they punch on the box. When you see new market makers every day now, do you think they own this stock and have big positions to sell. No. Its all math and numbers. Ask yourselves this question, if you sell something with out owning it is it yours to sell in the first place?
MM predict your demise not your success. The one thing they haven't counted on recently is the influct of new buying and new money. Look at the volume for the past several trading sessions. 3 buys to 1 sell and 1,000 shares drops the market $0.06. to 1/8. Go figure. They can sit on the offer as they did today and trade over 100K and sit on the bid and take in 1000 shares and drop the market. HMMMM. Working in concert is illegal.
