COMEX May silver ended down 8.8 cents at $6.265 an ounce, after trading a $6.365-6.180 intraday range.

In the bullion market, spot silver ended quoted $6.30/33, compared to the London Tuesday fix at $6.410,
while the silver forward price curve remained in backwardation.

Spot silver prices saw nine year highs around $7.90 in early February, helped by a 129.7 million ounce
purchase by US billionaire Warren Buffett, against the background of a persistent deficit between
demand and mine supply over the past eight years.
