So when someone buys a CF card manufactured by someone other than Sandisk, does Sandisk get any more revenue than IBM does when someone buys an IBM compatible PC from Dell? As far as I know the royalties that SanDisk earns are from basic flash memory patents, not CF. SanDisk is involved in a lawsuit with Lexar which will decide whether SanDisk "owns" CF.
