Huge float???
There is only 100mil issued, of this approx. 80% owned by MF(could be slightly outdated %) This leaves approx. 20 mil, not what I would call huge.
If you will look at some of the daily trades you will see at the beginning of the show monday appropriately timed buys of min(50k most 150k). Were placed at the open and strategically throughout the day. When weakness appeared a large purchase appeared. This same thing was apparent all week but today only large purchase at open then no follow through.
Why this action someone is trying to prop stock up and hopefully get a rally going. Aol needs a higher stock price and a clear balance sheet to obtain financing. Thus they cleared their books.
What continues to interest me is their total denial that the 1/4 ending sept/96 even exists.
This has to imply that they are going to throw everything(including the kitchen sink) into the expense column for this 1/4.
Of course thats the old AOL of last week , this is the new AOL of next week.
It looks like Billy boy and casey would b a great team together.
Somehow this co need to come up with cash!!!!
Look for a stock offering, private placement of preferred shares etc etc.
I like their idea of coming off the web to view what they have.
They should have made it free for some period of time to try to hook people on it's content. This is easy marketing and cost tehm very few bucks.
(note AOL (people) if use this idea please wire my commision check)
