Hi!

I'm sorry, but I haven't bought "Windows for Dummies" yet and therefore I don't yet know how to paste and cut....but I just read a post over on DGIV that made me go...."EUREKA!!" It's reply #3785 and it was written by Mark Morris.

It talks about what Al Gore stated about the future of the Internet. Basically how plans are in place to make the Internet much more powerful and faster. It talked about the number of bits we use now and how many more are going to be used in the future. It also talked about how millions of computers will be hooked together.

I hope I'm not just projecting things....but all of a sudden it hit me! If the Internet is going to become a much more powerful place, then it would seem to me that encryption would also need to become more powerful!!! I mean, doesn't that make sense?

If my thinking is correct, then that means that Congress is going to have to let encryption get higher....mainly because the market itself is going to force it to get higher.

If someone could please go over to DGIV and read Mark's post and then if you agree that perhaps my thinking has merit, could you possibly paste it up over here? It really makes an interesting read regardless.

Thanks!!!!

Juanita
