I have one at work and another at home. BOTH were very slow today, several instances where I could not get on the net, but could get through to the provider. Could this be related to the ATT deal somehow?

Pete, the AT&T problem didn't affect the Internet, at least not directly (like you, I first thought the problem affected it, but CNBC said otherwise). It was business telephones and the bank ATM network that went down.

Perhaps coincidentally, throughput on the Internet was indeed sporadically sucky today.
