Holly, I think you've missed my point. I think that it has been years since many current posters have communicated in writing. My guess is that up until recently most communication was verbal. I think it was you who talked of letter writing as a lost art. I look at the internet as having the potential to resurrect that art. But until people feel comfortable in expressing themselves in writing they will use whatever aids are available.
