Hey, don't go yet. I'm sitting here with my fingers resting on home row and no one to chat with. <g> Were talkin worms man. How the heck you going to learn anything if you keep bugging out. hehehe I got another way to catch worms, besides digging of course. Flood the lawn during the day and go back at night with a flashlight. One thing though. As soon as you shine the light on them they head back down there hole. That's how my uncle taught us just before we left for the cottage. We picked enough to last the summer. The professional pickers, use the same method. It's true there are pro pickers. In missisauga ontario they take bus loads of people out every night to pick worms. That's a heck of a wait for a ford part. I use to own a 76 ford heavy half ton. Great truck but had to trade her in. Today I've got an even older van. 73 Chevy Propane. Now the parts on that puppy are really cheap. My front brake pads cost me 13.00 canadian after returning my old pads. That's really cheap. Let's see, what else. Oh ya. No we never did get going on the worm business. My friend was a very unusual person. He looked exactly like john lennon. His name was Rocky. Kind of odd if you didn't know him. But he had a heart of gold. Very slow and mythodical. He ended up moving to vancouver before I left the up island town. One day he called me up and said he was coming over for a visit and asked to stay at our place for a couple days. His reason for coming was because he knew there was an old bus dumped at the dump. Rocky wanted to strip the bus of it's aluminum and sell it in vancouver. Well if you knew Rocky, it wouldn't suprize ya. So he made his way over in this flatdeck truck he had. Next morning we headed up to the dump. I tagged along wondering how he was going to go about doing this. Well before long, yours truly was stripping a bus of it's aluminum. We worked at it for two days. Rocky was so thankful for my help he kept saying "mike, when I cash this aluminum in I'll split it with ya". Didn't matter to me much, I had a regular job but he appreciated my help. So Rocky headed back to the big city to cash in his score. Headed back by ferry and straight to the scrappers. Next day I got a phone call from Rocky. With his expenses of taking the ferry twice, plus gas, and after two days of hard labor he ended up with 45.00 to the good. It seems the price of aluminum was pretty low. That was Rocky for ya. I've only seen him once in 15yrs. take care bud mikey
