Well, Duncan, I see you enjoyed Easter . . . I think!!
What is a pork-poor party, anyway? I have figured out there were no Costco hams at the feast, but did you eat Tofurkey and sprouts? Or was there a juicy roast beef en croute or something?
Is Melba your girlfriend? If so, you're TOAST!!! Ha ha!!!
P.S. I really did have a huge chicken. It was about eight pounds, I think. I baked it with stuffing, surrounded by carrots, potatoes and onions. The next night there was plenty left, so I made chicken sandwiches on seeded sourdough rolls, with romaine, tomato and red onion. I gave two heaping saucers of chicken to our cat, and the mother cat we are keeping who has three tiny kittens. The mother cat also likes chocolate donuts--she is very hungry!!! Tonight I made chicken pie, and still had enough chicken left over for two more kitty dinners, with the chicken piled so high that there will be some leftover for breakfast. If I had wanted to, I could have simmered the carcass with onions and carrots to make chicken broth, and probably could have gotten enough off the bones for chicken noodle soup. But I was absolutely tired of chicken!!! Anyway, that is how big the bird was--three dinners for three humans, and four big cat snacks. |
