Muepo,
You can find more info on Cube's Web site www.c-cube.com where they elude to using the "second chip" while professing single chip.

My question is, "If the single chip processes information so well, then why would you need the second chip?"

But on the other hand, it is the bottom line that counts, ie. how much would the revenue be? Therefore, selling 2-chip solution would double your 1-chip revenue because volume doubles. However, how big is that particular "professional" market? Then you should ask the natural question, "How much C-Cube is selling its chip for? How much is MPEG's? Should MPEG be pricing its chip at just less than twice the value of C-cube's?".... which means MPEG would more than double their profit margin!

Yet on another hand, is MPEG chip an "over kill" ? Way too powerful? The natural speculation I have, is that MPEG and Cube 's products are targeting DIFFERENT market needs!!!!!

Therefore, comparing their performance might offer no realistic value for novice investors... unless you really understand how the market pairs up!

And at this time, how could anyone profess to understand the market while it is in the early stages of development? How could one say that any 1 year old kid will be the NFL's Hall of Fame quarterback while he hasn't grown up yet? I fold to speculations, or a nicer word, educated guesses.

And so on....
