Gary, Datek doesn't allow you to change your order. Your only option is to cancel the entire order. Depending on your buying power, you can either place a new order right away,or wait for the cancel to be confirmed. I guess you could also place a new order before you attempt to cancel the first one, too, though I don't know if you'd want to try that, unless you were sure you would not get filled on the first one. The lack of a "change order" button is one of their most glaring shortcomings.
Also, while most cancels get confirmed within 10 seconds, sometimes your cancel appear to trigger a fill that you might have been waiting for. Many, including me, have complained about this.
Oh, by the way, after you attempt to cancel your order, you need to verify it through the "daily activity" button.
Hope this helps. |
