It seems to me that CUBE is distinguishing between different levels of compression by referring to "Broadcast" and "Professional" quality chips. Too bad. I always thought that "I" was a "Professional" in the "Broadcast" industry.

Anyway, I think it is the difference between DTV 480p/720p and HDTV 1080i capabilities. There are even higher levels of compression, but the degradation is too great at this stage of the game to seriously consider looking at those levels.
