Brite Technology Allows Orange County, Florida Residents To Pay Traffic Citations And Make Child Support Payments From Touch-Tone Telephone April 14, 1998 6:00 AM EDT

ORLANDO, Fla., April 14 /PRNewswire/ - The office of the Orange County Clerk of Court has chosen Brite Voice Systems (Nasdaq: BVSI) for telecommunications technology that will facilitate present collection methods as well as improve service levels.

Brite's telecommunications technology, known as interactive voice response (IVR), will enable citizens to remit payments for traffic citations and child support simply by using a touch-tone telephone and credit card. The installation will update and enhance the Clerk's existing computerized management systems and will operate 24-hours a day.

"We are very excited to be working with the Orange County Clerk of Court. Orange County is among the most technologically advanced counties. in Florida, and by using Brite's IVR system, citizens will experience the convenience of making payments, anytime day or night, without leaving home," said Kevin L. Hooper, area sales director with Brite's Business Systems division.

In addition to improving efficiency and enhancing service to the taxpayers, the Clerk expects the system will result in a substantial cost savings. "With Brite's IVR technology, the Clerk's office will not only save taxpayer dollars, but it will free-up existing staff to work with people who need more personalized assistance," said Fran Carlton, Clerk of Court.
