They will not get private placement on the day after the split. If in fact a reverse-split is to improve the chances of such a placement, the post-split price will have to be sustained for some time to earn the credibility needed for it, which (in my view) is EXTREMELY unlikely. The argument for a consolidation looks nice and tidy on paper, but completely ignores history and human nature (ie. the "psychology" of the market). I still believe that a reverse-split will merely be a boon to manipulators at the expense of the average investor.
