General consensus that reverse split will decrease price on YAHOO

For the short term, it appears that almost everyone on Yahoo sees the Reverse split as some real bad news for the short term price.

I'm tending to agree with them as there is nothing here to hold up the stock price.

I'm hoping that some good news comes out re: the quarterly report and possibly some sales figures on games like Worms 2.... hoping that will bring a short term increase a week before the reverse stock split occurs.

Usually, during the time of the reports, the company gets a short term positive fluctuation and unless there is good news to support it it goes back down. In this case, the reverse stock split is potential bad news following so.... it seems to make sense to sell during earnings time and buy back after the reverse split.

Any thoughts on this? The long term potential of this company is great but these short term hurdles appear to always be a problem with this company.
