Thanks for your thorough explanation and I agree with you that it would not be suitable for a retail speculator like myself. I think your Leaps trade with CPQ was excellent and will do that myself if the situation arises.
For myself, I like to write puts out of the money for two months to expiration and similarly write covered calls out of the money which is tedious and most of the times profitable and if not profitable I have the continuation plan to buyback the unprofitable option and write another with a credit of course on the switch.
I will look for your postings as I find them very valuable and I may post some of my ideas as well.
Which short no-load mutual fund do you use?

PS I am currently evaluating SE for a long position before the earnings come out in May.
