Just like you could not find the free version of the latest Mac. But you can find free Outlook 98 if you were registered for Otulok 97, free IE 2, IE 3 and IE 4. There are thousands of free active X controls, etc.

The anti-MSFT crew straddles both sides of the fence. Either MSFT is playing unfair because they give away too much free software that costs so much money to make (as stated by NSCP and its supporters) or MSFT artificially elevates the price of software (as you claim). I will argue any side that you oppose, you simply have to pcik a sidew and stick to it.
