COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Analytical Surveys, Inc. (ASI), (Nasdaq:
ANLT - news), the world's leading provider of computerized mapping and database services for use in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), today announced it anticipates reporting record second
quarter sales and earnings, adding that it expects results to meet or exceed current consensus analyst estimates. ASI said it will report for the second quarter ended March 31, 1998, on Tuesday, April 21,
1998.

Management said ASI received approximately $28 million in second-quarter contracts, which represents a single-quarter record for contract volume.

Sidney V. Corder, chairman and CEO, also said management knew of no reason for the recent decline in ASI's share price.

Analytical Surveys is America's technology leader in providing data conversion services and products for municipal, utility, government and commercial customers. ASI specializes in converting paper based
