cute response but completely inaccurate as it applies of seg. if you knew anything about this company and listened to their conf calls over the past couple of years (to include the one last night); you would know that the aggressive division heads that were put into place a while back are doing a great job. al has learned to delegate to people that know something about running a profitable business. the gains that they made this quarter in almost every category (inventory reduction,turns,productivity, new products out the door, etc etc) was really quite impressive and internal forecasts for further improvement seem to be on track. seg's reputation is starting to improve as well, as quality control measures are starting to show results. mgmt seems upbeat about making better inroads with oem's esp. at the desktop where they have had little success to this point. seg is a lot better positioned now than it was when they were beating estimates, the stock was > 2x current price and mgmt had their collective heads in the sand thinking that they were doing great when the only reason for the profits was short term supply/demand imbalance in the drive sector.

at roughly 1x sales and 2x book, seg is hardly a mania stock. if you had made the comment on the yhoo thread it would be accurate, here though you have no idea what you are talking about.

in the duh category....... to disclose, i am long seg.
