With a record backlog of US$245.0 million, American Eco
expects 1998 to be a strong year of approximately US$0.70 to
US$0.80 per share fully taxed as compared to US$0.77 per
share in 1997 had it been reported on a comparably taxed basis.

Am I the only one that doesn't consider zero earnings growth to
be "strong"? Also, I don't understand why the basic and fully
diluted EPS figures are identical, even though the number of shares
differ by 20%?

To me, this report indicates that the fundamental story behind
ECGOF has changed for the worse, and if there is any strength,
(yeah right) I will probably sell into it.
