EXECUTIVE TELECARD APPOINTS
VICE PRESIDENT OF EUROPEAN REGION
Denver, Colorado, April 15, 1998 - Executive TeleCard, Ltd. (NASDAQ:EXTL) announced today the appointment of Philip Madden as Vice President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Madden will be responsible for revenue growth in the Region. He will report directly to the Chairman and Chief Executive, Christopher Vizas.
Mr. Madden has significant experience establishing new revenue opportunities, building customer bases and negotiating contracts for international telecommunication and technology companies.
Before joining Executive TeleCard, Mr. Madden was the Sales and Marketing Director for Phonelink; a UK based online service provider. At Phonelink, he consistently achieved double digit sales growth.
From 1992-1994, Mr. Madden was the European Business Development Manager for Telstra Corporation, formerly Telecom Australia. In his position at Telstra, he established new revenue opportunities, acquired operating licenses, negotiated large network outsourcing contracts, and founded Alliances with other national providers.
Prior to 1992, Mr. Madden served as the National Manager for Sales and Marketing for Telecom Plus, a division of Telecom Australia. He also served as the Head of Sales and Marketing for Dialcom UK, British Telecom's (BT) electronic mail and information services business and as a National Sales Manager for BT's Telemarketing Services. He is a graduate of the University of London.
