Its astonishing isn't it that we have here a CISCO EMPLOYEE who seems to think that AT&T have built a national frame-relay network on 16 IPX switches!!! 16 I think refers to the number of slots in the chassis. This is the best post yet in terms of entertainment value. I guess you're not associated with this particular product line are you, or indeed involved with the original sale of this equipment before Cisco acquired Stratacom. You of all people should acquaint yourself with the facts before submitting hilarious posts like this. Multiply this figure by a factor of Ten and you might get close to the actual deployment of stratacom switches in the AT&T network. The reason why then AT&T might want to buy more than this number of Ascend Switches is that they may able to deploy them as a single seamless entity. Something they would have a problem with a stratacom solution above 155 nodes.
