COMEX May silver ended up 3.5 cents at $6.300 an ounce, after trading a $6.190-6.320 range.
Total COMEX silver volume was a moderate 16,000 lots.

In the bullion market, spot silver ended quoted $6.33/36, compared to
the London Wednesday fix at $6.240, while the silver forward price
curve remained in backwardation.

Spot silver prices saw nine year highs around $7.90 in early February,
helped by a 129.7 million ounce purchase by US billionaire Warren
Buffett, against the background of a persistent deficit between demand
and mine supply over the past eight years.
