<<I see you have gotten the attention of the thread with your last post. Let me point out that your argument contains a non-sequitor. Intel's production of a celeron may very well be profitable for Intel, but that does not imply profitability for companies employing the chip or entering the low cost PC market.>>>

Non-sequitor???? I believe you are mistaken since that is not what I was saying. I think you need to stop and look at what I said and then what you're saying. They are two VERY different things.

I don't give a rip (and neither does the mkt when it comes to DELL) if co's in the sub $1000 are profitable or not. The fact is that the mkt is moving that way and away from the high end which DELL has proclaimed as its territory. Therefore, I believe DELL will be punished for this strategic blunder. Whether CPQ or IBM can keep their margins comes under the heading of "who cares." Again! Demand is the problem, hence co's are moving to sub $1000 computers to get consumers and businesses to buy!! and DELL is not following the mkt. The mkt is always right, and DELL will suffer IMO under this scenario. That is the point! Step out of the box and look at what is going on around you. DELL opened today at the high of the day on what was seen as good news from INTL, but couldn't get a push and immediately traded dwn. Light vol all day showing no conviction to get thru 70. Then Kurlak's comments pounded it to close it dwn and almost at the low of the day. The stock is showing major weakness. This of course is just how I view it?

All IMHO of course!
