Dave, not a member of this thread, but the big crash almost happened Monday, but it wasn't the stock market, but the telephone lines. You see I work for a company that transmits data over T's network, and it totally collapsed, wiped out all the data for the next 2 days. The big crash will not happen on the market, but in the real world. If this market starts to shake, the data accessing financial news, and other information, will obliterate the telephone system. Then we will have a slow bleed all the way down to Dow 5000,everything will be halved, where is will sit for the next 20 years. No big deal, but just a long dry period, where you will have to be a good stock picker. Or pick something more important than profits, like your nose.
