Steve, Really appreciate the detailed response. Since I've been more of a "buy and hold" kind of guy, commissions and execution have not really been important. But, it's going to change now as trading is going to become my vocation.

I've spent 3 1/2 years and many dollars learning this stuff and now I think I'm ready to play. Being a trained "green eye shade" type, a lot of what I do is manual. One spreadsheet I created was 35,000 data elements. But, the knowledge gained has been fantastic.

I only wish I could currently afford your tech set-up. Actually bought my first computer in 1981. It sat in the corner for a year and a half, and I called it my status symbol. Recently bought my 23rd since then -- a Compaq Presario 166 laptop, which I've got hooked to a docking station. Rather rudimentary beyond that.

I figure it will take me another year to acquire the set-up I really desire -- yours! In the meantime what you all call pizza money will pay my bills and put food on the table.
