Thanks for your thoughts.

How will Japan's bank debt crisis (loans to SEA and bankrupt domestic companies) be resolved? By massive printing of yen? Is that how U.S. resolved S&L crisis in 80s? (of course, I believe we printed dollars, not yen -g)

Isn't Japan's debt problem substantially more than what U.S. addressed? (seems odd to discuss resolution of U.S. debt problems in past tense in light of the teensy-weeny bit of debt the U.S. happens to have!)

Seems to be quite a divergence of opinion on Japan - some saying worst has passed while other sees worst yet to come. Since I have substantial investments in oil drilling/service companies, I would like nothing more than immediate recovery of SEA, yet i fear a long hard messy workout.

Take care

Mike
