>>>As an undeclared PR agent of INTS

First, I'd better clarify a few things:

1) I'm posting on Stock Talk on my own and *not* at
INTS's encouragement or request.

2) I do not own any INTS stock (or WIND for that matter)

3) In addition to running this agency, I invest in tech
stocks, so am participating in various groups as a legit
investor - I'm absolutely not trying to stir anything up
and apologize to all if that was the appearance!

4) My background as a former design engineer who has
done numerous embedded designs makes me a relatively
educated participant in these discussion groups from
a technology perspective.

My comment about "marketing hype" was actually a
backhanded compliment to WIND. As a professional
marketer, I am extremely impressed with the
merchandising of Tornado. Perhaps I use the word
"hype" too easily, but hype is what us marketers
do for a living - it wasn't meant to imply falsehood.

I think Jerry's points from the EE Times survey are
well taken - the most important being that the number
of in-house designs is shrinking. This is where the
biggest opportunities remain (in my opinion) for all
the remaining major RTOS players in the market. For
years, in-house RTOSes have dramatically outnumbered
the use of off-the-shelf RTOSes, but I think the
aggregate efforts of WIND, INTS, etc. are turning that
tide toward away from in-house designs. Ultimately, I think
(objectively?) there's plenty of room for several
commercial RTOS players and that probably both companies
are good long term investments (just an opinion of course).

So, again, I apologize to all for appearing to be a
"secret" representative of INTS. Had I been trying
to hide anything, I certainly wouldn't have put my
web page in my profile and would have used an alias.

Unless you all object, I'd certainly like to continue
to participate in this discussion group from time to
time as an investor and as an embedded market watcher.
Thanks.

Steve
