Maxwell, surely you know what the word attrition means. That means people who leave the company of their own choice. Even in good times when a company is hiring agressively they still have attrition. Firings and layoffs mean people lose their jobs without their own choosing, that is, against their will. That's not what is happening over at Intel, at least not to the tune of 3000 people.
